The first stop-Qingjian County Bee Farm
Our first stop came to the bee farm in Qingjian County, Yulin City. It is very close to the Yellow River, and the bee farm is near a tributary of the Yellow River. The bee farm is on the mountain, where there are many jujube trees, which can facilitate the bees to gather nectar.
We stayed here for a total of four days. During these four days, we visited and inspected the live hive together with the beekeeper, observed and understood how the bees moved in the hive. When it was time for the meal, we cooked food with the beekeeper, and a bunch of people sat together to eat. This kind of sitting together, enjoying the natural scenery, feels really beautiful.
Second stop-Jiaxian County Bee Farm
At the second stop, we came to the bee farm in Jiaxian County, Yulin City. The bee farm here is at the foot of the mountain, very close to the highway. Due to the high sunlight and high temperature here, cicadas scream in the afternoon. We saw the process of beekeepers shaking honey and pouring honey, bees out of hives and bees collecting honey. This time we stayed for a long time. We broadcasted 5 live broadcasts, and basically spent the whole day in the apiary. The beekeeper is from Sichuan and cooks deliciously.
After so many days, we truly experienced the hardships of beekeepers. Basically, they live very frugally. When it is hot, they will enjoy the shade under the shade, and they do not use much lights or fans. And the scenery is really good, just the feeling of living in nature, without the complexity of a city.
